Occasionally you will need a slight gain from a machine to the master, but the basic gain is already the entire way up. Instead of adding a gain effect, chain it to another random effect. This gives you the slight boost you need, and can make for some nice fx! -www.muzeriter5.bigstep.com

Buzz Like IT, FT2 - Multipattern Sequencer

Date: 2004-01-25 Author: noolout Viewed 5019 times

Okay, so i read some stuff about how other trackers were better because they had a multipattern sequencer, and it never quite dawned on me why there was a peer chord lite (vs the peer chord full - great machine), then suddenly a light went off, so here it is how to use peer chord lite as a MULTIPATTERN SEQUENCER like Fasttracker, Impulse Tracker, and the like.

Add tracks to peerchord light, make sure chord is set to off on each track, select target machines, bing!

The Samplegrid samples/setup was borrowed from Kooper's Template pack ....shows how to do drums with samplegrid, the trick here is to add tracks, then select a different wav for each track then add samplegrid out, and select which group (on samplegrid out) = aux group = track (both on samplegrid itself) the sound should route from

....this is all of course possible because of BTDsys's Mind Kontrol Armada of foward thinking machines ! Thank you BTD !

So this hopefully shows
1) multipattern sequencing with peer chord lite and Samplegrid
2) changing presets within the target machines
3) the peerchord can be isolated in this song and imported into a new fresh blank bmx for note transfer only between bmx files (great modularity) :)

If anyone wants to continue, we can review jam :P I know the sounds are kinda demo-ish-sucky, about 1 hr of tweaking only :P

Cpu - 12% (peak) for me at least :)

Thats cool, didnt know you could do that =) 2004-01-25 by Xenobi0z

very clever for finding something so obvious that we all missed. I used to use impulse tracker before I moved to buzz, and this used to be a problem for me. However, now I find per-machine programming to be more efficient. 2004-01-25 by kmkrebs

Hmm, come to think of it now, you can use multiple peer chord lites/fulls in one song to allow for full modularity of note parameter between generators and bmx files (just dont use the chord or do if u want a chord heh) 2004-01-25 by noolout

Forgot - also you can record notes into the target machine using buzz's record button (just make sure you have empty patterns set for this in the pattern editor for the target mach) 2004-01-25 by noolout

thanks for the tip! it has changed how i make tracks. really useful idea. what's the main difference between peer chord and peer chord lite? it would be nice to be able to sequence more parameters this way.. maybe a machine made just for this? 2004-01-26 by nuclear

Coool! now i can run all my drums through different effects chains and track them all from the same pattern! Thank you. 2004-01-26 by B15h

very cool! (nuclear: try the new mixer gui function of btdsys peer controller for grouping effects) 2004-01-26 by davide

It's cool to use Peer Chord machines just for the random delay. Adds a bit of shuffle to tracks. :] 2004-01-26 by hamsteralliance

awhile back I contacted btdsys about improving upon this idea w/ possibly another machine and he liked the idea.. so anyone else that would like to see it elaborated on should send him a nice email ;] 2004-01-26 by mute

Just curious, what was the difference between mc2 and this ? midi ?  2004-01-26 by noolout

cool. never really missed the multipattern sequencer much, but this is a very simple and effective way to handle those ers snare, ers kick, ers hihat tracks.
damn. the last three reviews (selfspeed, 808+peertrig+peeradsr, this one) are diving deep into the peer dimension of buzz. it`s tying my brain in knots......

peace

Yea, totally, you can even isolate automations and transfer em between songs, complicated or simple ones ;) .... and peerchord is just a crazy machine sooo many cool tweakz 2004-01-27 by noolout

Just like Pyscle, this here is a method of creating a multipattern sequencer ... and samplegrid, and fuzzpilz unwieldy tracker ... and their respective out machines - sgrid out, polac out 2004-08-08 by noolout (Voted 5 for this review!)
