Hello,
I'm sure if some of you aren't as informed (like myself) you might find yourselves dealing with MIDI input latency. When precision is desired and the stakes are high (i.e. changing delay length from 8 ticks to 12 ticks at an exact point in time w/ tpb higher than 4 bpm, or high tempo in general) here is a solution that you can have much fun expanding on.
Use PEER LFO in an interesting way:
PEER LFO makes available the "tick update" parameter. Well, use PEER LFO as a segue (middleman) for parameter changes. Set the PEERLFO osc type to triangle, have peer lfo's assignment be set to whatever your desired parameter change is (i.e. delay length in my case). I would select triangle because it is linear, yielding a linear parameter value distribution. Set the rate of the PEERLFO to 0, and then simply modulate the phase of the PEERLFO to obtain what value you wish to be routed.
Now, by expanding the TICK UPDATE parameter, your changes to the phase won't take place until n ticks have passed. In 4tpb, n tempo, you can set peerlfo's update tick to 16, and use PEER LFO to change the assigned wave of Mtrk from various one-bar samples to do kind of latent beat swapping, without having to pay attention to when it is you turned the knob.
Coupling this technique with the usage of a peerctrl assigned to the phase of this PEER LFO data filter we've created, you can come up with some powerful results.
Oh one last tip, make a pattern for you PEERLFO to trigger it to 1 (to set the on/off to "ON") and that will begin the tick-snapping lfo so to speak. That is absolutely necessary.
I'm not providing a .bmx with this for a few reasons: t took me a lot of work to figure this out, also because buzz isn't on this computer, and I think that those who can understand what I said should be the ones with their hands on the prize.
Thanks,
Jordan

| Ingenious. Thanks for the tips. Although, it isn't that complicated - I doubt I would have ever thought of it myself. 2003-07-16 by atolonen |

The only comment recieved.
Thank you :) how the fuck do you add line breaks test? \ntest? 2003-07-21 by neosoleil |

I think line breaks can be done with the HTML (BR) -tag. Just replace the brackets with angle brackets. The "<" 6 ">" -charcters.
Testing: This should be on a separate lie. 2003-07-23 by atolonen |
