Hey...It's me again. o_O
Welcome to, Rarely mentioned(and not so rare) Buzz features.
Well. There are a lot of keyboard commands in Buzz.
Some of them, I noticed, aren't mentioned anywhere.
Such as:
Ctrl+#(1-9)
What this does is set the 'step'. It changed how far the cursor jumps every time you place a note. Much easier then going, "click, down, down, down, down, click, down, down, down, down, click."
Another one is Ctrl+F4.
What this does is break the windows into seperate seperate cascading windows. You should only push this when you're on the "Blah" Screen....cause it minimizes the screen you do it on and you can't bring it back up again. You can then sort the other windows(machines, wavetable, etc.) to look somewhat like an Orion interface...or whatever.
There is an evelope helper thing in the wavetable!! use it! it's the button underneath play that says ASDR. That stands for, "Attack, Sustain, Decay, Release."
It makes good envelopes for you...instead of your ridgid ass hand-drawn one =P
You can right click nearly any machine and pull up an attributes box. Here you can usually set different Midi channels, slider ranges, transposing, etc.
Not quite as unmentioned...but still could be mentioned Features:
CTRL+I: Interpolates(goes between) two values. You can use this on the volume, the filters, whatever. Just select 2 points of a colum, put a number at point one and a number at point 2. INTERPOLATE!!
CTRL+R: Randomizes whatever is selected.
SHiiiiiizzena! Hope that was somewhat helpful to some of you.. o-O-O-o_O-o-O-Oo-o_O-.......*blink*
/END!

Don't forget -
Ctrl+I - in the sequence editor, it will insert one row over every track. Ctrl+D will delete one row. Very handy for shuffling a song order around. 2001-10-07 by Chico |
|
| And Ctrl+L in the sequence editor will solo the current track... 2001-10-07 by iliks |

| Hadn't any idea there was a tick advance changer (Ctrl-#) - that's really handy, that. :) 2001-10-07 by kwoOk |

| I think most of these are mentioned in the buzzmanual (including 'set step'). Although I only know that because I actually got bored enough once to read the whole thing (even though I been buzzin' for years), so it was a good idea for you to mention it here.
...I guess the old advice is still good...
RTFM!

| Now that's helpful! I didn't knew the CTRL + #1-9 function. But I missed it a lot. Damn I didn't find out myself earlier. THANX! 2001-10-09 by maYO |

| There's another one: If you hold pushed Ctrl and press arrow up or arrow down in the Pattern Editor, you can change between the different machines to edit their patterns. Hey! I didn't know Ctrl + R It's useful!!! 2001-10-15 by ?gOa? |
