That ParaEQ gives an afwfull distortin effect here. Don't think it's intended that way? 2002-08-25 by surya

It's the Compressor that does that. Sorry about that. I didn't hear it as it was late here and I couldn't put my monitor speakers up to loud. The headphones revealed it. 2002-08-25 by s.van.leeuwen

Yes, i think it sounds much better with a ratio of 16:1, attack 1.5ms, release 3.5ms and output lowered to + 6 ( multi 1). The drums do also sound a little lifeless because of too much compression imo. Otherwise it's nice. :) 2002-08-25 by thOkede

| thoKede,
The Dynamics are fine on my Mackie HR824 speakers http://www.mackie.com/Products/HR824.asp
You can't properly hear dynamics on headphones. I have played the track on an SPL of 111 Db Sound level, there's enough headroom to keep it pumping.

Nevertheless i think it sounds less 'distorted' if you allow the compressor a little bit more time for both, attack and release. :) But this may be rather a matter of taste than of technical details. 2002-08-26 by thOkede
