I have been playing a lot with BTDSys' Peer machines, especially his (still in alpha) PeerChord.
Personally, I trust these machines to work quite well, since have had little problem with them. However, some of you may not be so trusting!
I ran into a little bit of trouble when I was using the PeerChord machine, because I wanted to see all the notes it was playing in the actual machine, and not just the root note via the PeerChord interface (since I know so very little about chords & music theory).
To my surprise, I managed to find a very elegant way to do this:
1) Create a blank pattern for the generator, the same length as the corresponding pattern in the PeerChord gen.
2) Set up the blank pattern for this gen along with the "controller" pattern for the PeerChord.
3) Hit the Record button! (you might also want to turn looping off)
Now you've got the notes from the PeerChord copied into the generator you wanted.
So far, this method seems to work for all the other BTDSys Peer machines too (LFO, Env).

| Oh yeah, don't forget to add enough tracks to the generator machine (ctrl+ in pattern view) so it can play/record the notes in them! 2002-08-13 by kmkrebs |
