  REVIEW

7/4 time signature experiment

Date: 2002-06-23 Author: juvenilecokefiend Viewed 2327 times

Ok...listening as i do to lots of music like Tool and Soundgarden, I decided to make a wierd-time song. This is just me dabbling in the wierdness, the song's a bit crap. I used drum samples from a website called Kalava's drums. The song can be downloaded from www.geocities.com/tungsten_beast/74.zip ...sorry, but i'd already done the song wih waves, and it would be a nightmare to reprogram it a 909 or something. HalDreamer - nice guitar/bass things. Comments, further experimentation welcome, but don't nab the riffs please, i may well recycle them, not that they're that good anyway.

Hi there, juvenilecokefiend I'm about 2 go, so I'll DEFINITELY download this later. I'm ALSO a HUGE fan of Tool & Soundgarden, and ESPECIALLY Rush (got tix for July 14, about 5 miles from where I live!) I'm not sure if you already read this review (since you wrote a tune in 7/4 time), but : http://web.hibo.no/~mva/viewreview.php?id=35 If you haven't already, I think it's pretty good! Alrite, g2g now! Late, Ken  2002-06-24 by Ken_Mac_Pherson

sorry guys...try the link again, didn't upload properly. Nice blues thing btw Elektrojaenis. 2002-06-24 by juvenilecokefiend

I especially like the guitar/organ riff no. 00 on this one. The master volume should be bit lower though. You are overdriving the master output bit too much for my taste. (I usually do overdrive the master output a bit though but not this much.)

The blues thing... er... isn't it quite a standard thing? Did you check my ac/dc ripoff? 2002-06-24 by Elektroj?nis

yeah...you're right there, but i keep forgetting to do stuff like that. Ken i couldn't get that other review to work, probably because if it uses any of the NRS machines it'll crash my computer. 2002-06-25 by juvenilecokefiend

turned this into a full song in the end... will hopefully end up here if all goes to plan, but not for another 4/5 days or so, being as I am a non-premium scumbag.

Peace, love, heavy metal...JCF 2002-07-10 by juvenilecokefiend
