Jeskola Sinesynth2 used to draw a volume ramp that is visible as a line in the sequence editor. Fairly accurate when highpass filtered. Lots of possibilities with this method.

BTDsys has responded to this on Buzzchurch. It seems he had a new version of Peerscream that will draw stuff in the sequencer.
