If machine?s patterns are so large that they don?t fit on screen, and you can`t get acces to all the parameters, just control them with the Peer Control machine... - Technetic

Rymix Kyrie Pads

This review will serve as a somewhat tribute to Rymix, one of the great buzz coders. He has created a wonderful bunch of machines i find myself using alot of lately - StereoBox Pro, Stereobox, Kyrie (a great buzz synth!), Flaserbox (Rocks).

So lets take a look at Kyrie - Machine Info
and its presets - Download Kyrie Presets

The parameter layout is somewhat tedious, along the lines of jacinth BUT this does not mean it is unusable, the params are quite simple if you think about it .... just looks like too many

2 oscs, 2 mod envs, 3 filters, and a modifiable set for each track, also your other misc fx like glide, detune, etc

A few great things here
- TONS of waveforms, not sure of the exact number but must be close to 75 so with 2 osc 75*65
- Great filters, check them out - not only a ton of modes but also a ton of types !
- rather easily modifiable patterns - usually its just notes for pads so is not a problem
- has a Note length column in the pattern ed
- alot of pitch control (this is what imo, makes it lush, thick, etc)
- if you go into attributes - changing quality from 2 = hi to 1 = lo will lower cpu by 75% (on my machine at least)
- parameter harmonics 64 and lower are easier to work with
- bad thing is you don't have NNA, note overlap, virtual channels, so you have to adjust your tracking accordingly

Other things you will notice in these templates

Cyanphase Jedshiva (VUMeter) - Machine Info
- you can unmute/mute per channel (Great for mixing - soloing a track)
- i use it at -6db and then use a cheapo amp afterwards with +6db (just a personal preference, i like to see if i am clipping more easily :P)
- its beauty is not really shown in these example bmx files, cause you need multiple channels (templates usually have only 1)

Fuzzpilz Chorpse - Machine Info
- this is the greatest chorus effect buzz has ever seen, it can make ANY boring sound better, and make ANY great sound Greater !
Try it out and see its magic

so in the end
kyrie + chorpse + verb = lush !

Share any kyrie, chorpse, jedshiva tips you have in this thread
The template pack included contains 5 examples of recently created pads i have done with kyrie...if you heard some of my newer songs, you will recognize them from the mp3s ;p
