Rout Soundfont Loader is a great tool for importing some fresh sounding samples into buzz. Soundfonts are actively traded around the net and there is wide selection of instruments and sound effects in the .sf2 format. To use it, just load it up on the machine window, then right click on it and choose "load...". Then right click again and choose "info on preset" to figure out what bank and patch number you will input in the pattern editor.

PeerChord - Templates

Date: 2004-06-13 Author: noolout Viewed 5706 times

Here is a method to using BTDSys PeerChord i find especially useful

I created three templates

They differ by base notes - all naturals, all sharps, all notes (everything)
They all have many of the available chords written into patterns
And also a few of PeerChord's wonderful track params into patterns
And using 4 tracks in the Sequence Editor (f2)
U can quickly shoot out chord progressions, just assign it to an existing generator, or a template or a pvst

U can also turn Chord OFF on the params of PeerChord

Hooked it up to quartz76's wonderful saw template, and came out with an example bmx :)

so 4 bmxs total
3 of them just peerchords for ready import into ANY existing bmx file as a template or as import song

Peerchord_natural_notes.bmx
Peerchord_sharp_notes.bmx
Peerchord_ALL_notes.bmx
Peerchord_template_example.bmx

hope this can help :)

Thanks so Much to BTDSys for PeerChord and his many other wonderful buzz contributions !!

oh right, you are gonna have to modify some of the base notes on either the all sharps or all natural notes to ur specific key/scale/notation - a few minor changes 2004-06-13 by noolout (Voted 5 for this review!)

Or just use the all notes version :) 2004-06-13 by noolout (Voted 5 for this review!)

Very useful. Thanks. 2004-06-13 by wizenwet (Voted 10 for this review!)

Nice, but on the sharp template I get the "Hi" error, followed by error in Wo_directX.
Might have to do something with me having a newer unreleased peerchord. (The one with "note off" in attributes)  2004-06-14 by XENOBI0Z (Voted 5 for this review!)

hmm, thats not good, does anyone get that error ? and is it only with that template ? The all naturals and all ntoes load ok ? curious... 2004-06-15 by noolout (Voted 5 for this review!)

Yep only with the sharp template, the others work fine.  2004-06-15 by XENOBI0Z (Voted 8 for this review!)

bizarre, even on import file or drag and drop or templates ? or just anything ...

all there is in the template is a peerchord (nothing else) 2004-06-16 by noolout (Voted 5 for this review!)
