Rjkole: LDC : put a pattern in Master at the start of your BMX to set it to that volume every time you play the song . Thats definately a good idea. Thanx |

lee_dc: If someone wants to have a go at implementing this with Peerlib then I'll gladly send them the source code so they can have a bash. I don't have time for it, plus I don't need the feature either. The methods I used to read/write the parameters worked fine for any machine parameter (including buzz volume sliders) except for the master ones, so I guess they must have been implemented a little differently. By the way, something funny I found while making this machine is that you can hack the Master to have a mute/solo button, etc. :D Unfortunately it didn't have any effect. |

mute: Leedc: " but it seems there is no reliable way to read the current volume." the master volume is controlled via [Master], therefor the values are readable+updateable w/ the PeerLib @ BTDSys's website. |

lee_dc: Rj, yes i know, thats why its version 0.9 and not 1.0. read the manual for an explanation. i spent a long long time trying to make it read and restore to the "correct" volume, but it seems there is no reliable way to read the current volume. unless someone else knows a way, i won't be fixing this.
i don't see why you would have to "remix" the whole song, just set it to an appropriate volume level and put a pattern in Master at the start of your BMX to set it to that volume every time you play the song. |

Rjkole: Ok,LD,thanx, works now ! But still, the thing with volume level ( full volume after hitting play ) should be fixed someday, because when using the loader on older songs, the whole song needs to be remixed, not very comfortable in that case.but still great work ! |

lee_dc: Rj - hit play after loading and it should "unlock". does that work for you? |

Rjkole: Very fast Loader, nice. But with me the volumeslider sticks to the left, and i cant move it.i only can reset it by moving the top slider in the loaders parameters window.rj |

lee_dc: If you use the buzz master volume for automating volume changes, etc., then you will get clicking noises when it moves.
Also, if you use the Buzz volume, you either have to turn it down so much to avoid clipping, or have it higher and risk clipping, as the only indication of the output level is via the Buzz volume meter or checking your WAV once you saved it.
It's always better to connect all your Buzz machines to a Cheapo Amp or similar, then you can easily add mastering effects, and also you can use LdC Automax right before the "Master" to get the loudest signal level without clipping. Hope that helps! |

Joachim: Bard: The volume setting in Buzz has 24-bit resolution, so not having it at max probably doesn't have any significant impact on sound quality. On a side note, i usually find it easier to keep the volume at max. That usually inspires you to work with "normal" levels between the machines. Some effects tend to behave irradicably when getting very loud signals into them. |

lee_dc: This is covered in the supplied help file, but...
i couldn't find a way to reliably read and restore the correct volume as it seems you have to "hack" it a bit to do that, and that made buzz crash or just restore the wrong volume... but no, you shouldn't use that built-in buzz volume control anyway, it's not a good idea. read the help file for more info! |

bard: There was something wrong with my audiodrivers..therefore buzz didnt work properly. how stupid of me! It had nothing to do with the speedloader which works allright. But now i have to change my way of composing(messing and trying stuff without learning a practical way of doing...haha) because it turns up the volume to the max. keeping the volume to the max is good for soundquality, is it? |

bard: Nice new feature. Would be nice if it would not make my buzz crash. Therefore I de-installed it and now buzz still crashes. Will there be a new update soon? |
