Ld releases again! by mva
Ld released an update version of his powerful Jacinth! It now uses Oskari Tammelin's XDSP Beta 2 library, which makes run it faster! Note: the original jacinth is required! Ld also updated his Grain machines. They also use Oskari Tammelin's XDSP Beta 2 library now and there are some common crash bugs fixed.

cellular: Yeah, maybe the samplegrid in conjunction with a bunch of grain fx would be nice... oh, and something i would love in a future grain machine would be pitch and stretch/speed envelopes. 2002-12-11

HamsterAlliance: Well, it works in an old bmx i used it in i see...but not in this new one...=| 2002-12-11

HamsterAlliance: Ack! NOW the old one isn't working either.... =\ none of the parameters change things....phuckz0rz. 2002-12-11

HamsterAlliance: The new grain version doesn't work here. heh ph34r. *goes back to the older one* 2002-12-11

Elektroj?nis: Ld0d: I sent you more information... 2002-12-11

jeph: Hey, cellular why not try the new sample grid machine? it is great for drums and any rythmic sequences of your own samples. 2002-12-10

ld0d: Xenobioz: it's the same file ... strange. 2002-12-10

Xenobi0z: LD grain DEmo crashes for me too, allthough the old demo did work before but now it crashes too. Maybe they are the same demo. 2002-12-10

ld0d: Elektroj?nis: maybe you could try importing the song? strange that it crashes, perhaps your buzz doesn't like matilde or something?

wizenwet: it's still a beta, i'll try to find the remaining bugs and fix them asap. if you can make a .bmx/.bmw that constantly crashes, please mail it to me! i'll have a look at the pitchmod/length problem tomorrow.

cellular: i remember thinking about using different samples for tracks but that would probably need different grain parameters for each sample too... oh well, it's the way it is now and can't be changed until another machine, maybe you can achieve the effect you like with grain fx and a tracker/drum machine?
oh, and the note modes; they work with magic ;-)
i don't remember why i chose them to be the way they are now, but it was mostly trial and error. explaining them would require explaining how the whole synth works, so it's a long story - just choose the one that seems to work best for the situation.

Elektroj?nis: Grain demosong seems to crash buzz on my home computer and my work computer... Grain itself seems to load fine. 2002-12-10

wizenwet: This re-release is much appreciated! One bug though: The grain machines still crash when the 'gpitchmod' and 'glength' params are set to maximum. Jacinth is working wonderfully though. 2002-12-10

cellular: Thanks ld! these are both wonderful machines! one thought about grain though: what i would really love is the ability to use multiple channels with different samples. that would make sequencing drums so much easier. oh, and a question: how do the different note modes work? 2002-12-10

Xenobi0z: Ok now I figured out how to restart the envelope the best way. Its to you use note off. Noticed that while playing with my midi keyboard. Anyway Jacinth Rules!!! Its propably the best buzz synth! =) 2002-12-10

thOkede: Much appreciated - thank you, ld0d 2002-12-10

Xenobi0z: Is there a way to reset envelopes at every new note? 2002-12-10

magmavander: Yeah ! This is cool :o). Tell us when the new grain is ok. 2002-12-10

stablepatient: Ld: alright, I'll wait for the grain, but thanks for jacinth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D. Wickedness ;). 2002-12-10

ld0d: Oops, the filters don't work correctly in 0.93... i sent the fixed version to mva already, please wait for it. 2002-12-10

anomaly76: Sweet!! Maybe now my Jacinth will work again. Thank you much. -Thrace 2002-12-09
