thevider: Maybe the buzz machines integration in fruity is not such a problem after all. They don't even coop with the buzz way of working ( = no grafix required, only wanting to do kraaazyy sounds and pressing Ctrl-S every 30 secs). Fruities are just fundamentally different people than buzzers. Less l33t. Of course.

Apo: Vlad: You paid real hard money for fruity, go and talk with/whine at/bitch at them for not delivering a working adapter. No one here, except Oskari, can make a buzz plugin adapter because the buzz plugin API is controlled by Oskari's license. |

Vlad Ivanov: I didn't criticize Buzz - i don't know what i said to deserve such treatment here. All i wanted to say - that Fruity Buzz Adapters are not up to the level of the rest of the package and it would've been nice if it was redone. And as for Buzz itself - i paid for Fruity even though i Buzz is free - therefore it's pretty clear that Fruity is something that i prefer working with. I am more interested in getting some music done rather than going indepth with a package that didn't appeal to me from the beginning. It doesn't make it bad or anything - its not my thing. For exactly same reason i don't use Logic or Reactor - i am simply not interested, even though i am fully able to actually pay for things that i like, and i do it on regular basis. Buzz machines and effects, on the other hand - when integrated with Fruity - are as convenient to use as VST plugs - and i would've been happy if they could be used as part of the music creation. However the way it is now - i don't like how they are integrated and it's a shame. Fruity community was originally pretty excited about Buzz support - but soon everyone realized that it's not as good as everyone expected due to the adapters. Using Buzz gens in Fruity - will more often than not lock up your host and result in loosing your work - its hassle that few are willing to put up with. If an improvement in Buzz adapters cannot be expected - then oh well, i will continue using what i have been using all along. Thats all i have to say on the subject. |

RomanB: Eheh... cool! it works! Well, i still dunno how to make a "enter" and continue next line... :P
Vlad, if yer suck... sorry, such limited like you say, why are you interested in buzz plugs anyway? if you like the buzz gear, you should really try chaining the stuff... i know fruity, and i like it, really, and i have a friend he makes awesome sound with it, but he also claims that the wrappers should be redone... all i could say to him was also: try using buzz plugs in buzz itself, and make nice routings and chains... he changed his mind now... maybe you should really try to do advanced stuff in buzz, its even alot of fun to do so, believe me. and what yer telling about "i'm not interested in tracking" man... whats the difference? you make music! when you play violin, you dont say, "i like how the sitar sounds but i dont like the way you have to play with it"... or... do you? |

Vlad Ivanov: Regarding Buzz machines in Fruity: I don't like the Buzz wrappers because they are buggy and look ugly (which is harming my creative workflow, call me gay) - so i haven't even paid much attention to Buzz plugs. However i recognize that Buzz plugs have potential to expand my sound library for free, which is a good thing.
So if somone makes some decent wrappers (as i understand Oskari is not interested)- i'd be happy to look more into Buzz plugs.
Sorry - i am not interested in "tracking" - i much prefer Fruitys way of doing things. |

Apo: Just to mix my spoon at this thing again (hi gol & jmc ;-). So here goes:
My plugin is included with the fruityloops buzz adapter on the cd. No one has informed me that it is used.
The "We promised all Buzz developers of the machines we included in Fruityloops a free Full version of Fruityloops." should have been "We promised all Buzz developers of the machines we included in Fruityloops a free Full version of Fruityloops, if they somehow get their hands on a list of buzz plugins included with the fruityloops AND notice their machine is used."
I have not recieved any word from JMC or any other fruityloop employee that my plugin is used or I haven't seen any list from them even though they know I have developed buzz plugins. My name is in the documentation included with the machine and in the "about" window that is at least accessible through plugin menu options.
And the plugin in question: smartelectronix tubescreamer, which was ported to buzz and heavily modified by me.
I'm thinking about if I should request my copy of fruity. |

Elektroj?nis: Maybe I shouldn't take part in this message thread because I'm not e developer (and this is a war thread anyway) but I remember somebody mentioning something about the fruity wrappers... If I remember correctly somebody said that devs could make their machines so that it would not load to fruity... I could remember wrong but I think it was discussed as a feature in the fruitys buzz wrapper or something. Maybe I just remember wrong but if it is true devs could decide if they let their future machines be used by fruity users. |

layle: Jesus christ. fruity loops is a good product to, so it's commercial, at least it is stable and very well done with excellent features these days. however i don't care for the gui and i like the rawness and quick of use (for me) with buzz, so i will always be a buzz freak. but, damn, this "i don't wanna have my machines realsed with fruity" is idiotic IMO. yeah you worked hard, but if you are giving them away anyways, what different does it make which audio platform it is run on. maybe the original VST folks didn't like thir stuff going around in apps other than cubase, but it happens more every day in Buzz and FL and many other programs. In order to avoid www.jeskola.com to be bought by one of *our* competitors we bought it ourselves and offered it *FOR FREE* to Oskari in return for a bugfix in his wrappers that makes Fruitloops crash when using Buzz machines in another host.
He told us this was a silly deal so until he changes his mind we've put up a small page that points to Buzzmachines.com and Fruityloops. If someone can provide me (jmc@fruityloops.com) with a BuzzMachines banner and/or description I'll be glad to put it online. |

rjkole: Lunar07: ok,i didnt know that.may be he ve got so much money that he went on a worldtrip and never came back ;-) ... @ the Programmers, especial those who wrote the Vst Pluginloader and overloaders : we have so many machines now.i can imagine it would not be to hard to write a whole new buzz which can load all the buzzmachines.of cuorse it must have the main functions (main screen) again. |

- dmC -: The main & no.1 domain for buzz should become Buzzmachines ,the page is greate (news too) ,moreover the Oskari seems to be dead for a long time :< |

lunar07: space 1: Oskari received money to fix the HD. He never updated anyone on how much he got. There was a discussion on this issue before where I criticized him for such behaviour and called him a down right liar and thief. You take money from people for a certain issue then I believe it is an obligation to explain to people what happened with the money. No one should send money to Oskari to fix the HD unless Oskari clarifies what he did with the money. Same with jeskola.com: let Oskari get it back, but not with our money. |

iMillionaires.com: Hey Bass, why not grow up and put your money were your mouth is and offer me $50 for it. Regarding your comments about "shafting other people ", shafting who? When you grow up someday you will realize that you have to pay bills in life. If you don't pay them stuff gets taken away. In this case he did not pay for his domain name and lost it. It's not like he did not know. Registrars give you three notices. moon.god, I hear what you are saying. You see moon.god, I own one of the largest network of web sites in the world and I fund kids to develop sites. Last year I spent $11,000 funding kids sites ! Most of them have talent but can't afford the costs, so my partner and I do that and we spilt any money the sites make with the kids. So, If you all feel the way you do, get 10 people together with $5 each and buy the name back. I will even tell you were you can get FREE web hosting with no ads (15 meg space, 100 meg monthly transfer, MySQL, PHP, CGI, etc). |

rjkole: If that HD still exists, there?s agood chance of fixing it.Even the HD needs to be taken apart. Therefore of course must be some money availiable.Someone should contact Oskari again and have some money to offer for fixing the HD.- If anyone finds more info on that please tell me so i can send some money.all others should do as well. space1 |

bass ape: If Steve or whatever he calls himself does put the domain on Ebay, just set up a fake Ebay account. Bid a shitload of money for it and never pay him. That way it's a pain in the ass for him and he'll think twice about shafting other people in the future. Well, that might be a bit idealistic but a pain in the ass is a pain in the ass as they say! |

moon.god: XionD: me and cyanphase are buzzmachines.com staff members beside mva. (mva is the owner of the site, we all know that).
i dont think this is boring news otherwise not so many ppl would discuss here. (of course mva is the highest instance. if he want to remove the news i put here he is always able to do so.) |

moon.god: Imillionaires.com: u should think about the fact that most ppl in the scene are for one thing quite young and for the thing not very "rich". i dont believe that u will succeed in putting the site on ebay.com. especially if u raise the money u aim to get for the domain to high. nobody would buy it then. non-sceners arent interested in buying the domain. further oskari himself is well known to be always out of money. so even he himself couldnt afford the domain i guess. |

technetic: Once i?ve asked Oskari himself on Efnet #buzz (Mirc) about the source code of buzz, he told me it was in his broken hard disk, so i ask myself: is it possible to take that hard disk to a hardware expert hoping him to fix it? or is it so broken that even the surface of that hd is unfixable. whatever i?m still on keeping my faith on that code comes to surface again... :? |

XionD: Now I have a few Questions:
1 - How is it moon god put the news article up in the 1st place...Isnt that MVAs job (I agree with MVAs first statement - boring news).
2 - Do ppl still honestly beleive that buzz will be resurected???? (live with it love it but dont expect it to change).
3 - STEVE - this is my opinion only - where the hell do you get off snatching up a domain name....then goin to a place where ppl arent happy that you have - AND TRYIN TO SELL IT OFF! my god man...thats just askin for a mail bombimg / virus / whatever....HOW RUDE!

iMillionaires.com: Hello this is Steve from iMillionaires.com.
Just reading the comments here while listing to some Buzz files from http://www.fortunecity.com/greenfield/bigmama/226/
Yes the previous owner left the name expire. I don?t know why people do that.
I specialize in finding popular sites and selling them to people to restore them. While I?m looking, I park them at one of my sites. I will shortly put it up for sale on eBay.
I have too many successful sites to try to revive this myself but if any of you are interested send me an email: legal@imillionaires.com.
Just one will do ;)

IntrospectiveJourneys: Here's my vote, if the next version of Buzz ever comes out, call it "Buzzmachines Buzz", that way people will associate it with the new domain name. If the scumbag who took it ever stops getting hits, maybe we can have it back...
...but Buzz lives on... just because jeskola.com died doesn't mean that Buzz dies too... |

lunar07: Magmavander: I do agree with you and I wish I can catch the guy who stole the domain to do not very nice things to him. So, of course I am not happy it happened. But at the same time I am happy that sine and/or oskari are not the ones taking care of buzzmachines.com for example. If you do not take care for what you have, nobody will! It is an issue of responsibility. |

|
bax: Buzz is simply too good & it's free, so others want to kill him ,buuuuuuu! [I hope that's true :-)] .I like the way magmavader thinks of it. Additionaly I think that the Buzz-Code should be found ,there are many things to do!
God bless Buzz! |

magmavander: Well, I just want to thank Oskari. Why ? Because he give us this fantastic freeware called Buzz. He lost his domain name and what ? It's not my problem. He lost the source code ? May be it's because he didn't have enough MONEY to buy a new hard disk. Sometimes I don't understand. If some are angry against him, they can buy Fruity or Reason or Storm or...They can try Psycle (a good freeware too). Buzz lives today through coders who developpes greats machines for our pleasure.
And we have buzzmachines.com, so where is the problem ? I have met great people all over the world and this is due to the work of Oskari and the community of users. I am not a musician but today I can do music, sorry Music, with one of the greatest musical software, free or not. Go gardening Oskari, and in a few month you will be able to create the lost Eden's Garden ! magmavander |

moon.god: Mva: i thought that many ppl are interested in what is going on with jeskola.com. i strongly believe that still jeskola.com has many hits per day. otherwise this guy wouldnt have been interested in "stealing" the domain... |
2002-05-16 |
|
|
lunar07: renniac: yep ..... "forgot". It looks like Oskari was counting on someone else to register the domain. What does it matter to Oskari anyway? He lost the source code to Buzz and now he lost his own domain. Jeskola must have been just another hobby. Add it to the list of 'lost' hobbies. Maybe he should consider gardening instead! |
