Attention - Envelope.ocx by XionD
It was brought to my attention recently (thanx nool_) that for some reason people are still using the older envelope.ocx, this may be due to buzzfixkit which has an option to install both jeskola's and stygamtes. To make sure you a running the more advanced version check the file size, stygmates is 72kb (and the one you want installed).
To install this ocx file, run buzzfixkit and under setup, choose: setup/extract stygmate's envelope.ocx

Btd: Cool, I'll try it. 2004-04-10 by wizenwet

Two ideas:

1. Right click a point, click Edit Point. You can alter the values numerically.

2. The .bef file format seems to be really simple. Just now I figured it out by staring at a couple of files in a hex editor. So any language worth anything (maybe even dos basic) should be able to read/write them without any trouble. 2004-04-09 by btd

Nool: Yeah, I just thought it'd be nice to have txt editable envelopes, as really complex ones could be programmed with any language, even dos basic.  2004-04-09 by wizenwet

hmm wizenwet, maybe you can try to change the handle size ... might allow u that 'finer control' and turn off grid ...

you can also use the ADSR button for presets... 2004-04-07 by noolout

I wonder, is there a way to edit the .bef files for envelopes? It'd be nice for really, really fine control.  2004-04-03 by wizenwet

Thanks! I had stygmatesenvelope before, but had not noticed that it was replaced by the old one. =0 2004-04-03 by Xenobi0z

[shameless plug] you might want to check out a nifty lin/log trick you can perform with the help of the load/save function of Stygmate's envelope.ocx - I did a review about 1.5 years ago on how to do it: http://web.hibo.no/~mva/viewreview.php?id=660 [/shameless plug] 2004-04-03 by Paul Eye

hehe ... i wouldn't call that news ... additional features:
- envelope save and load
- grid edit, grid on/off
- snap on/off
- handle size

Why upgrade? Cause we say so. Do as we say! OBEY, FILTHY HEATHENS. DO IT NOW! 2004-04-03 by hamsteralliance

Stygmate's 2001 Envelope.ocx goes in the same dir as buzz.exe - snap grid on/off , finer control, load/save envs, right click on the envelope in wavetable to access features, invert, mirror, more 2004-04-03 by noolout

Yeah, I'm not too seriously worried about updating... mostly I'm just wondering about specifics of why one should upgrade. :) 2004-04-03 by brash

The upgrade is fine. I use it and it doesnt cause issues but does add lots of functionality. If per chance it does cause you issues just delete it and run fixkit again and under setup choose: extract Jeskola Envelope.ocx 2004-04-03 by XionD

I'm using the old one, apparently (24kb). Is there a good reason I want to upgrade? I apparently am one of the lucky folks whose Buzz almost never crashes. I don't want to jinx that... ;) 2004-04-03 by brash
