| I like the graphics layout of the bars and the size of the window. Not too small, not too large. A peak hold feature would have been nice, especially because the difference between "fastest" and "slowest" is not that big.
The scale of the dB only has the numbers -12, 6, 0 dB. This is not enough i think. Also the meter is not able to show signals over 0 dB even though Buzz supports this. There are no peak/overload (signal above 0 dB) indicators either.
The scale of the meter is logaritmic in the same way as SoundForge - meaning that the important area from -12 to 0 dB is all sqeueezed all up in the right side of the image. An (saveable) option to use x^2 or x^3 distribution or similar instead of log() would be a very useful addition.
Good things: It's stable. Also, while open, it doesn't freeze the buzz GUI like the JoaSmurf VUmeter does. This is very nice. Also it supports multiple input channels. Brilliant. |

| I find myself using this machine alot, it is nice for a quick reference to see which sound may be unbalanced (too loud) .... also, which is something i needed, was L and R inputs, sometimes with all of these stereo effects, i had panning problems, which this machine helps me recognize quickly :)
I used to use a cheapo amp as my pre-master machine, i now use this with a cheapo amp afterwards :)
No docs needed :)
thanks cyanphase ! |
